Non-profits are always pushed to do more with less, especially when it comes to communications and marketing. In this session, Jennifer will her experience at The Food Bank of Waterloo Region, how they’re using social media and digital storytelling to elevate the brand/raise awareness, including: Who We Are (structure of organization, board, etc), Common Communication Roadblocks & Solutions; Doing a lot with a little (Tools (social media, etc.) and Budget), Our Journey (integration/segmenting, anything else people may want to hear), Now What (What’s Next?).

Biography

Writer. Marketer. Community-Minded. A talented and accomplished Communications professional, Jennifer has more than 20 years’ experience in both the corporate and non-profit sectors. Having worked in Marketing and Communication roles at BlackBerry, Kitchener-Waterloo Oktoberfest, Sandvine and The Food Bank of Waterloo Region, just to name a few, she brings together a unique set of skills that allows her to create compelling content that raises awareness and spurs conversations. Jennifer is currently the Communication Specialist at The Food Bank of Waterloo Region. She believes in being friendly, green living, and giving back.
